Work Experience

• Working as a Senior Consultant Urology and Robotic surgery with Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, Sarita Vihar, New Delhi which is a state of the art urology facility, equipped with DA Vinci Robotic systems, Holmium laser a variety of flexible and rigid endoscopes.
• Worked as Senior Consultant Urologist at Fortis group of hospitals New Delhi, based at Vasant Kunj from March 2010 till Feb 2012. He has worked with state of the art equipment like DaVinci robot, holmium laser, Siemens lithotripsy, a variety of equipment for endourology including flexible ureterorenoscopy. He was also actively involved in renal transplantation.
• Worked as Senior Consultant Urologist at RG Stone Urology and Laparoscopy Hospital, East of Kailash, New Delhi from June 2002 till Feb 2010.
• Well versed in performing all endourological procedures including upper tract percutaneous and lower tract surgeries. Have performed approximately more than 3000 Holmium laser prostatectomies ( HOLEP) with gland size ranging from 40 to 330 grams. Core Skills

Holmium Laser Enucleation of Prostate. Performing this surgery effectively since 2001 and has done approximately 3000 cases. These include prostate sizes from 40 to 330 grams, recurrent enlargement of prostates after TURPs.

Have operated in major hospitals in South Korea, Malaysia. Have been involved in the training of Urologists for Holmium laser prostatectomy from India and abroad.

Percutaneous nephrolithotomy. Performed more than 5000 PCNLs with stones ranging from simple pelvic to complex staghorn stones, ectopic kidneys using laparoscopic assistance. 

Ureter endoscopy- Especially well versed in using Flexible ureterorenoscopy with pneumatic and holmium laser lithotripsy. Performed approximately 2500 procedures.

Laparoscopic Pyeloplasty. Have performed more than 200 procedures approx. Have combined PCNL in the same sitting for UPJ obstruction with stones.

Laparoscopic Nephrectomy (for kidney tumors, donor, non-functioning kidney). Have performed approximately 400 procedures both transperitoneal and retroperitoneally.

Transurethral Resection of Prostate (TURP) - Have performed more than 1500 procedures with good results over the last 15 years.

ROBOTIC SURGERY- Performed more than 250 procedures for cancer of prostate, kidney, and bladder. Consistently giving good results with  Robotic-assisted Radical prostatectomy and Partial Nephrectomy.
